Mitchell Prevost: The younger of the two brothers was born Dec. 7, 1981 in Belleville, Ontario. He attended and graduated from Nicholson Catholic College High School in 2000. This was the first summer he spent working with his brother on a floor for Bender Engineering. The team work and experience would grow into much more. He attended the University of Guelph working weekends, holidays and summers at Can-Tex Protective Systems leading teams before his graduation with a BScH degree in 2004. He would continue to run flooring projects for Can-Tex Protective Systems full time until November 2007, when he would leave to build his own business with his brother and offer his individual services to Applied Industrial Flooring.
"Two key individuals I have had a pleasure and honour working with would have to be Gene Mumford, who was one of the Can-Tex founders and owners, and Arnold Oudvashar, the Supervisor for Can-Tex when I first started there. Although there have been many people that have shown me things and taught me so much over the years I don't think any two individuals have gained more respect and reverence from me when it comes to the flooring industry.Their Honesty and intensity are certainly qualities I strive to emulate."
Melvin Prevost: The older and more experienced partner was born on Dec 8, 1971. He graduated from Quinte Secondary School in Belleville in 1991 before continuing his education and graduating from Loyalist College in 1994 with "welding". He joined the Bender Engineering team in it's infant stages in 1996 and was a key member until offering his services to Can-Tex Protective Systems in 1999. Here with his younger brother in training he overseen some very large and difficult projects. He continued his boundry testing further when recruited back to Bender Engineering as a Crew Supervisor in 2003. With many successes and achieved goals in his stay until 2006 new management forced Melvin to change scenery once again. He joined yet another large industrial flooring force BNE. It was here in 2006 the decision was made to join forces with his younger brother to build a team and a company that would service customers the way they beleived customers should be serviced. With a business of his own as his ultimate goal he returned to Bender Engineering where he was able to continue to run jobs while also building his own company.
